Unpacking and testing the Dwengo board
Not a single Dwengo board goes out the door without being thoroughly tested. If all tests succeeded, a welcoming program is programmed onto the board. After unpacking the Dwengo board, you can immediately try it out by connecting it to your computer through a USB cable. The LEDs on the board will blink and a message appears on the display. Press the reset button to execute the welcoming program again.
A quick test
When you have unpacked your Dwengo board, you can quickly test it by connecting it to your computer using a USB cable as shown in the picture. The Dwengo board is then powered by the computer and a welcoming message appears on the display. Press the reset button to execute this welcoming program again.

Connecting the programmer
Using the programmer you can install your own program on the Dwengo board. For this you will of course have to write a program. Several tutorials on our site teach you how to do this. With each tutorial the program code is included so you can use it immediately. Once you have the compiled program code, you can place it on the board. For this you need to connect the programmer to the computer with the USB cable as shown in the picture.

By programming the Dwengo board, you overwrite the welcoming program. This doesn't matter, since you want to use the Dwengo board in the future with your own programs.
Make sure to that, when the programmer is connected to the Dwengo board, it is also connected to the computer with the USB cable. The picture below shows how not to do it. This will not harm the Dwengo board, but it will prevent it from working correctly.
